Currently, streaming platforms are experiencing exponential growth in Latin America. Recent studies by the audience measurement company, Comscore, indicate that over 50% of internet-connected users in this region consume content on streaming platforms, with an annual growth rate of 40%, highlighting a clear user preference. To put this into perspective, there are more streaming platform users than pay-TV consumers in Latin America.
Regional experts predict a rapid increase in streaming platform investment given the exponential advertising growth on these platforms. Advertising on such platforms is estimated to represent 70% of total digital advertising investment within the next 5 years.
